Australian pricing and specifications have been locked in for the electric version of the 2024 Mini Countryman, coming to local showrooms later this year at a significant premium over the petrol model.
The Mini Countryman E and SE are the battery-powered versions of the new-generation SUV, with features largely mirroring the turbo-petrol counterpart, albeit for $14,000 to $15,000 more.
The electric range opens at $64,990 before on-road costs for the E Core, priced at $15,000 more than the equivalent Countryman C front-wheel drive petrol offering.
It’s a similar story with the all-wheel-drive Countryman SE, which starts from $72,990 before on-road costs – a $14,000 rise compared to the Countryman S.
Standard features carry across from its sibling, including a 9.4-inch OLED touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
The Mini Countryman E and SE are due in Australian showrooms between July and September 2024.

Powertrains
The Mini Countryman E is powered by a single electric motor, producing up to 150kW of power and 250Nm of torque, delivering drive to the front wheels.
Mini Countryman SEs gain a rear electric motor for all-wheel drive, while also increasing outputs to 230kW and 494Nm.
Claimed zero to 100km/h sprint times are 8.6 seconds and 5.6 seconds, respectively.
Efficiency
Both electric Mini Countryman offerings are powered by a 64kWh battery, delivering up to 462km of driving range in Countryman E guise and 433km for the Countryman SE, tested against Europe’s WLTP protocols.
While a maximum charging rate isn’t quoted, Mini claims a DC fast charge can top up the Countryman’s battery from 0 to 80 per cent in 29 minutes.
Dimensions
The 2024 Mini Countryman electric measures 4444mm long, 1843mm wide, and 1661mm tall, with a 2692mm wheelbase – making it 11mm longer and 5mm taller than the petrol model.
Boot capacity is quoted as 460L with the rear seats up (45L less than the petrol version) and 1450L when the second row are folded (down 80L).

The 2024 Mini Countryman E and SE are covered by a five-year, unlimited-kilometre warranty.
